Meet the First-Timers on Our Charts This Week
This week: Kenyon Dixon, Belle Tatum, Dee Mula and Preston Cooper.
Across Billboard’s 200-plus charts this week (dated July 5, 2025), a diverse group of artists debut for the very first time. Among the newcomers this week are a Grammy-nominated R&B singer-songwriter with high-profile collaborations under his belt, two Nashville-based artists emerging in the pop and country spaces and a rising Memphis rapper riding a viral moment on TikTok.
Take a look at the group below.
Kenyon Dixon
A longtime force behind the scenes, Kenyon Dixon makes his Billboard chart debut as a billed artist this week thanks to Come as You Are, his new collaborative album with Terrace Martin. The project launches at No. 7 on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart and No. 22 on Jazz Albums.
Though this is Dixon’s first charted release, he’s achieved many other milestones over the course of his career. He’s contributed background vocals on songs by Kanye West (notably on “Ultralight Beam”), 2 Chainz, Kelly Rowland and Nick Jonas, and he’s co-written two tracks that charted on the Billboard Hot 100: Ant Clemons’ “Better Days,” featuring Justin Timberlake (No. 94 peak in 2021), and Timbaland, Nelly Furtado and Timberlake’s “Keep Going Up!” (No. 84; 2023).
Dixon has also garnered three Grammy nominations in the best traditional R&B performance category. He was recognized for his songs “Can I Have This Groove” (2025), “Lucky” (2024) and “Bring It On Home to Me,” featuring Charlie Bereal (2022).
Belle Tatum
The Nashville-based pop singer-songwriter scores her first chart entry this week with her single “Boyfriend.” The song debuts at No. 38 on Adult Pop Airplay following a 24% jump in spins, according to Luminate. Released May 2 on the independent label Pop and Hiss Records, the track follows two other releases she’s released this year: “Snowing in June,” with jordn day, and “Dancing in My Room.”
All three songs were produced and co-written by Micah Otano, whose past credits include Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange standout “Lost.”
Dee Mula
The rising Memphis rapper breaks through with his viral track “Blow My High,” which enters the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at No. 44. The song’s debut is fueled almost entirely from its streaming sum: 2.6 million official U.S. streams (up 92%).
The song, which appears on the deluxe edition of Mula’s album Focus More On Me, has been blowing up on TikTok lately. It’s been featured in over 75,000 videos on the platform to date, often soundtracking relatable buzzkill-like moments of frustration, especially in response to political news. It’s chorus lyrics “baby, you gon’ blow my high” are the centerpiece of the trend.
Dee Mula has collaborated with Moneybagg Yo, Pooh Shiesty and YTB Fatt, among others.
Preston Cooper
At just 22 years old, the country singer makes his Billboard chart debut with “Weak.” After opening on the Country Digital Song Sales ranking two weeks ago, the song debuts at No. 59 on this week’s Country Airplay chart with a 13% gain in audience.
“Weak” is Cooper’s fourth song released on DSPs, joining “One More Place I’ve Never Been,” “Numbers on a Mailbox” and “One for the Road.”
